“Art is the elimination of the unnecessary…” Pablo Picasso
Ka Atelier in Star Street offers you the unique opportunity to paint in the ultimate creative environment - an artist’s own studio. The funky, intimate venue offers creative workshops, exhibitions and parties inspired by their “paint on anything” philosophy – be it canvases, ceramics, wooden toys, vintage collectibles or common everyday objects. What’s not to love?!
For HK$350, you’ll enjoy a guided freestyle painting workshop for TWO with unlimited paint buffet, snacks and a bottle of red or white wine to share. Choose from a selection of dual canvases up to 40x40cm in size - or even bottles or masks to paint on. You’ll be in the company of Ka or one of her experienced comrades, who will teach you basic technique and painting tips to help you express your ideas on canvas.
Trained in Chinese painting from a very young age, Ka melds Chinese painting aesthetics and philosophy with Western modes of expression, creating a unique style of abstract expressionism and symbolism. Her focus during these sessions is to bring out an individual’s creativity through art and painting. Ka is the founder of Art Hope, a charity that supports schools and hospitals in rural China and SE Asia.
