| WHY WE LIKE IT... Kiteboarding caught interest in Asia around 2004, although it was invented in Hawaii in the late 90s. It's an amizing sport allowing you to jump up to 5 floors (don’t expect to do that in your first lesson though :)). The exhilaration of skimming across the water’s surface can quickly become addictive, especially once manoeuvres such as turning and jumping are mastered. Today we are offering you 50% off a 4 to 5-hour Kiteboarding Discovery Lesson, which is perfect for absolute beginners. If you are not sure if Kiteboarding is a sport for you, this lesson will give you all the keys you need to decide if this was just your first lesson of many to come or if this was simply a great once in a lifetime experience. You will have 2 hours of practical course on the beach, learning the basic moves and how to handle the kite and 2 hours in the water. All Kiteboarding equipment is included; all you need to bring is your swimsuit, some waterproof footwear and your sunglasses. Taking professional lessons is recommended to improve fast, as it is important to understand how to work with the wind and not against it. Kiteboarding Association of Hong Kong instructors are all certified by the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO). They promote safety, a positive image of the sport and share their passion for Kiteboarding with their students. They also offer 3 days IKO certified Kiteboarding beginner lessons. There is a maximum of 2 students per IKO instructor, so they will be fully focused on you. Lessons are held on Shui Hau Wan Beach a lovely bay on the south coast of Lantau Island. Its shallow, flat-to-choppy waters make this spot perfect for kitesurf beginners. How do you get there? Just a short taxi or bus ride from Tung Chung MTR station. |
