| WHY WE LIKE IT... The Hong Kong Academy of Flower Arrangement (HKAFA) is a renowned flower arrangement international school in Asia, founded by principal Theresa Lam in 1989. HKAFA forms the bridge where students can get firsthand direction to world flower arrangement trend. Theresa’s designs are clean & modern. Her unique mastery of color and texture is inspired by her insight in international fashion, architectures & interior designs. HKAFA teaches I.A.F. (International Academy of Floristry—floral art research) modern European flower courses as well as provides European Designer Certification by Tomas De Bruyne (the famous Belgian international floral designer & decorator) and JANE PACKER LONDON (where HKAFA's teachers got trained in London). Today we are very happy to give you a taste of EFA which introduces various concepts of Modern European flower arrangements. This course is dedicated to presentations of informal and modern line designs, free styles and many practical daily design concepts. Proportions of lines, material techniques and how to capture the characteristics of many floral materials are covered in detail with step-by-step demonstrations by tutors. Different impressive modern European design concepts will be taught. This course is an important foundation course for beginners/hobbyists and is he basis for to-be-florists. |
